Claudia Edwards, m\u00e9dica veterinaria y directora de programas de HSI\/ M\u00e9xico, dijo: \u201cAplaudimos la decisi\u00f3n de los legisladores por combatir y sancionar la crueldad y el maltrato animal en general y las peleas de perros en particular dando cumplimiento con lo mandado en el art\u00edculo 87 bis 2 de la Ley General del Equilibrio Ecol\u00f3gico y la Protecci\u00f3n al Ambiente.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta reforma al C\u00f3digo Penal, fue presentada desde el a\u00f1o e impulsada y apoyada por diferentes organizaciones civiles y protectoras independientes entre ellas Animal Rescue \u2013 Defensa Legal Tlaxcala y HSI M\u00e9xico.
