La Malinche adaptaci\u00f3n exitosa del rat\u00f3n espinoso mexicano<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigadores de la Estaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica La Malinche del Centro Tlaxcala de Biolog\u00eda de la Conducta (CTBC) detallan c\u00f3mo el rat\u00f3n espinoso mexicano ha prosperado en paisajes rurales transformados por la actividad humana, en el art\u00edculo \u00abDonde hubo monte, ratones espinosos mexicanos quedan\u00bb que en fecha reciente public\u00f3 la revista digital \u00abTherya ixmana\u00bb, editada por la Asociaci\u00f3n Mexicana de Mastozoolog\u00eda A.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fernando Aguilar Montiel, Mar\u00eda Luisa Rodr\u00edguez-Mart\u00ednez y Eduardo Felipe Aguilera-Miller, investigadores de la Estaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica La Malinche del CTBC de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Tlaxcala (UATx), explican que en los \u00faltimos 60 a\u00f1os el paisaje rural ha cambiado dr\u00e1sticamente, pasando de extensos bosques a campos de cultivo y terrenos sin vegetaci\u00f3n original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se\u00f1alan que, en este nuevo entorno, el rat\u00f3n espinoso mexicano se ha adaptado exitosamente a las condiciones creadas por la agricultura y otras actividades humanas. A pesar de la p\u00e9rdida de h\u00e1bitats naturales, este roedor ha encontrado un nicho favorable en los campos agr\u00edcolas, donde abunda su principal fuente de alimento: granos y semillas. La disponibilidad de refugios como madrigueras y vegetaci\u00f3n remanente es crucial para su supervivencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, los investigadores describen que la capacidad del roedor para almacenar alimentos y su r\u00e1pida movilidad contribuyen a la dispersi\u00f3n de semillas y la regeneraci\u00f3n de la vegetaci\u00f3n original. Aunque el rat\u00f3n espinoso mexicano se beneficia de las \u00e1reas agr\u00edcolas, la perturbaci\u00f3n ambiental sigue siendo perjudicial para la biodiversidad, afectando negativamente a las especies m\u00e1s especializadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
