Los centros de investigaci\u00f3n en Reproducci\u00f3n Animal y de Ciencias Biol\u00f3gicas (CIRA y CICB) de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Tlaxcala (UATx) pusieron en marcha el \ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc32\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc28 \ud835\udc0c\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc1a, en colaboraci\u00f3n con estudiantes del Colegio de Bachilleres de Tlaxcala (COBAT) Plantel 08 Ixtacuixtla y su profesora, la Maestra Elia Mart\u00ednez \u00c1lvarez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Se trata de una iniciativa de ciencia comunitaria orientada a promover la conservaci\u00f3n de la mariposa monarca mediante educaci\u00f3n ambiental, investigaci\u00f3n y creaci\u00f3n de h\u00e1bitats adecuados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La propuesta busca fortalecer el conocimiento sobre esta especie emblem\u00e1tica de Norteam\u00e9rica que cada mes de noviembre arriba a los bosques de oyamel en Michoac\u00e1n y el Estado de M\u00e9xico para hibernar, antes de emprender su ruta migratoria de retorno hacia Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1. Su ciclo depende de plantas del g\u00e9nero Asclepias, donde depositan sus huevos y se desarrolla la primera generaci\u00f3n primaveral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Como parte de las actividades, los estudiantes realizar\u00e1n observaciones de campo durante un a\u00f1o para documentar el comportamiento, presencia y ciclo de vida de las monarcas en Tlaxcala. Entre las metas a mediano plazo se contempla la creaci\u00f3n de un Jard\u00edn de Mariposas Monarca en el Jard\u00edn Etnobiol\u00f3gico Tlaxcallan de Ixtacuixtla y el establecimiento de una colonia de cr\u00eda en cautiverio con fines de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El proyecto est\u00e1 encabezado por el Doctor Kurt Hoffman, Coordinador del CIRA; Doctora Citlalli Castillo, Doctora Gema Galindo, Doctora Mercedes Rodr\u00edguez Palma, Doctor Jos\u00e9 Luis Mart\u00ednez y P\u00e9rez y Doctora Mariana Cuautle, quienes consolidan el compromiso de la UATx con la investigaci\u00f3n, la sostenibilidad y la vinculaci\u00f3n comunitaria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
