CIUDAD DE PUEBLA, Pue.- Este 11 de marzo Cuetzalan cumple 20 a\u00f1os como Pueblo M\u00e1gico, el primero de los 10 municipios con esta denominaci\u00f3n en el estado, la cual le represent\u00f3 un beneficio sustancial para su actividad tur\u00edstica, ya que la llegada de visitantes registr\u00f3 un incremento superior al 343 por ciento, al pasar de 41 mil 878 en 2002 a 144 mil 45 en 2019, es decir, antes del cierre de actividades ocasionado por la pandemia de COVID-19, informa la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En el 2021, este destino present\u00f3 una recuperaci\u00f3n del 19 por ciento en el n\u00famero de visitantes al recibir 42 mil 468 turistas en comparaci\u00f3n a los 35 mil 685 con los que concluy\u00f3 en 2020, cuando las actividades tur\u00edsticas se mantuvieron cerradas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La directora de Pueblos M\u00e1gicos de la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo, Karla V\u00e1zquez Martag\u00f3n reconoci\u00f3 el esfuerzo y compromiso que los prestadores de servicios tur\u00edsticos y en general los habitantes de la comunidad han realizado para consolidar al destino como uno de los m\u00e1s atractivos en la entidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Record\u00f3 que dicho esfuerzo ha obtenido recompensas, incluso a nivel internacional, y puso como ejemplo el reciente nombramiento como Mejor Villa tur\u00edstica en el mundo por parte de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de Turismo el pasado mes de diciembre en Madrid, Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cabe destacar que en el a\u00f1o 2002, en Cuetzalan operaban 22 hoteles con 340 habitaciones, para el 2022 son 69 los establecimientos que brindan servicio de hospedaje con un total de 774 habitaciones disponibles, lo que representa un crecimiento de 227 por ciento respecto a la infraestructura con que contaba 20 a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
